It was a beautiful Sunday morning in Chapel Hill on September 4, 2011, when Newman bid a fond farewell to Ethel and Nelson who will be leaving for Atlanta in a few short weeks to be closer to family. They have been as much a part of Newman as the bricks on the floor of our worship area. In thanksgiving for all they have given us, we sent them off with our love and prayers held in the stitches of the prayer shawls they received. You will be missed.
May the Lord bless and protect you.
May the Lord's face radiate with joy because of you,
May he be gracious to you,
Show you his favor,
And give you his peace.
