The making of a prayer shawl is a spiritual practice which embodies thoughts and prayers for the receiver. It is a gift freely given with no strings attached. Made in prayer, as prayer, for prayer, the shawls are passed on hand-to-hand and heart-to-heart.

A prayer shawl or blanket embraces the recipient with the unconditional love of the Lord. It is a gift reaching out to those in need of comfort and solace as well as in celebration and joy. Prayer squares are given to those going on mission trips, working for social justice. Many blessings are prayed into every item we make.

May God bless you, Sheeba

It was Thursday, January 17, when we gathered in the Newman Library to present Sheeba with a shawl made by Marty especially for her. Father John was there to bless the many shawls and lapghans that we had made over the last several months. Among them was the one for Sheeba. He placed it over her shoulders as we gathered around and prayed with him. She leaves for Denmark next month. We will miss her and thank her for all she has given so graciously to our ministry.

We gather around and pray for Sheeba.
Nine of us continued onto the 411 where we had amazingly good food and enjoyed the fellowship which comes with being part of our ministry. Shalom! Mizpah!
