The making of a prayer shawl is a spiritual practice which embodies thoughts and prayers for the receiver. It is a gift freely given with no strings attached. Made in prayer, as prayer, for prayer, the shawls are passed on hand-to-hand and heart-to-heart.

A prayer shawl or blanket embraces the recipient with the unconditional love of the Lord. It is a gift reaching out to those in need of comfort and solace as well as in celebration and joy. Prayer squares are given to those going on mission trips, working for social justice. Many blessings are prayed into every item we make.

This Is Worth Repeating - Save The Dates - Decenber 1 & 2

We are having a craft fair and bake sale on December 1 & 2. SAVE THE DATES!!!! Preparations have been going on for months now. We have enlisted the help of our Newman community and, I am happy to report, the donations keep coming in. We will have for purchase many unique, hand-crafted pieces of art along with the customary hats and scarves and fingerless mitts and dishcloths and more. Contributions include artisan wood carvings, greeting cards, paintings, and prints from Hint of Mint Designs. https://www.hintofmintdesigns.com/home

All the proceeds will benefit Newman's Alternative Fall and Spring Break Trips. Come early and see what we have to offer after our liturgies on Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2. And keep in mind all the delicious homemade baked goods that will be for sale. Better come early for those. Our bakery sells out fast.
