The making of a prayer shawl is a spiritual practice which embodies thoughts and prayers for the receiver. It is a gift freely given with no strings attached. Made in prayer, as prayer, for prayer, the shawls are passed on hand-to-hand and heart-to-heart.

A prayer shawl or blanket embraces the recipient with the unconditional love of the Lord. It is a gift reaching out to those in need of comfort and solace as well as in celebration and joy. Prayer squares are given to those going on mission trips, working for social justice. Many blessings are prayed into every item we make.

What to do?

While surfing the net this past week, checking out my email inbox for the latest news and trends and help with my latest project or maybe looking for a new and exciting challenge, I came across this article. I think I could have written it myself. Do you "keep on truckin' or would you rather rip it? If you are like me, you would rather "keep on truckin", but find yourself rippin' it way too much. Oh, to experience perfection!

Maybe I need to sign up for that class Susan took at the Hillsborough Yarn Shop. But then, Susan has offered to share what she learned at one of our next meetings. Can't wait. In the meantime, I'll keep on truckin'.
